About the start of my third move to Denmark

Winter Sunrise in Copenhagen
Random Winter Morning in Copenhagen - December 2025

I moved back to Denmark for the third time last Monday, 1st December 2025.

I am staying in a temporary, furnished apartment in the middle of the city.

It is very well located. Very central. I have a 5-minute walk to the metro, and a 10-min. walk to the inner-city train.

During my first week at work, I connected with old and new colleagues. It was a productive week, but also a very exhausting one.

Some days I had back-to-back meetings, other days I worked late (I was the only one in the office when staying beyond 16:30 🕒).

Most days after work felt improvised, because I don't have any routines established yet, and because I need to stay flexible in this period.

On some days, I went to dinner with friends, some other days I took myself to dinner, other days, I cooked at home.

On the first couple of days I had gotten myself sorted with all the official practicalities: registered my new address and reactivated my personal identification number, got myself a local sim-card, and bought a monthly public transportation pass. Heck! I even managed to line up two viewings for next week for what I am hoping will be our permanent abode.

I rented an electric bike on Thursday and rode for about 40 minutes (in heavy bike traffic AND rain!) from the apartment to the area where I am looking at rentals, to scout the area.

It was a good experience (I hadn't biked for at least +3 years), but to my surprise, I am not sure I enjoyed the e-bike experience as much as I thought I would. I appreciated the extra help while pedaling, but the speed wasn't easy to control. Maybe I should test some other type of bike.

Last Friday I attended the company's christmas party and it was really good. Good food, good company and good entertainment.
